If you are stuck at your story, would you use the help of an AI storyteller?

A few days ago I got a briliant idea – to use AI algorithm to make a story. You give the main parameters characters and so on and it generates a story.

I have to mention that I do not search a lot in internet for writing tips. I do not have the time so thats why my writing is so bad or just don’t have the talent. Eitherway till now I’ve never searched for sorytelling with AI.

And guess what?!

The idea was old as hell (ok not that old but certainly not new) and there were a lot of AI algorithms – some free some not. But the main idea of these AI storytellers is that you write a paragraph or a sentence and the AI generates a new paragraph to continue the previous. Some times the ideas are good, sometimes very strange but it is a lot of fun to see what possibilities it can invent.

Just search AI storyteller in Google or any other search platform and have somefun.

The main question remains would you use an AI to help you with the stuck part?

I think I might use one just for the fun and also I am an amateur who likes stuff like this and hope one day to have the time to write my own AI storyteller algorithm.

Choose wisely! (introduction)

The earth is dying! Or so they said on the Last video cast. But I am not surprised. And the pollution wasn’t the main factor. Actually it was not a factor at all. 

All the craving to own, to have more and more, to satisfy even the tiniest desire, all that took us down. The air was not breathable because most of the trees were  cut down, the water was gone or toxic, the sun was colder. There were no animals or other living beings except the People. Everything that we needed was synthesized – food, water, clothes… 

Someone predicted that we have to escape earth no more than a few months. 

So we had a choice to flee the earth or stay behind and wait for our last days.

There was place on the spaceships for every one despite most documentary and  sci-fy movies. You know, they always seek drama. 

Despite all, a lot of people chose to stay. Some just did not like the new and preferred to stay. Others chose to try to save earth. And some of course did not believe all the predictions and scientific facts.

Of course there were people who panicked and dug themselves bunkers in the ground and others who were the first to flee earth. But the final result was that half of the human kind left earth to search for a better life anywhere else in the universe.

What will be your choice – choose wisely they said, but define wise – is it wise to stay or wise to leave.

DAY 4 IN THE STORM

A heavy storm struck early in the morning. We would be better prepared if that animal hadn’t eaten our meteorologist the first day and broke his equipment. Now we were soaked wet. Strangely the guy who was on duty that day on the report station hadn’t called us for the storm. Later we found out he ditched his post earlier because his girlfriend called him for an emergency in her room. Anyway that day we returned to the ship because of the weather. Unfortunately, the next three days were the same and we desided to find a new interesting spot. 

DAY 5 NEW CAMP

As we were on the ship we decided to be well prepared for our next trip. Therefore, we scanned the whole planet and photographed the surface. After that we made several maps and possible tracks with interesting flora and fauna. On a big green hill we decided to build an outpost because the return to the ship wasn’t very pleasant. Many on the ship wished to come down to the new planet so the camp grew into a small village. Due to our previous mistakes we grounded some new rules while on the ground – the buildings and everything in them should be made from stone, wood and other organic materials. The technologies should be used only for exploration and help. Not everybody agrees but the rules are very strict and the penalties very harsh. 

NEW BEGINNING

We did a lot of exploration and research. The species we found were very interesting because we had similar flora and fauna a very long time ago. Now we were thinking of taking a little from everything so we can regenerate our planet again. The new nature has influenced our health very well – we don’t cough so often and can breath without inhalators, our skin becomes darker and thicker and we feel more strong and flexible.

THE METEORYTE 

The most important thing is no matter how good you are you can make mistakes. Everybody does. So did our physicist Mklit. Recently we noticed on our scanners a meteorite which was coming toward the planet. The computer showed that it will pass nearby but won’t fall. It was one massive meteorite. If it falls on the planet it will destroy half of it. Not very well for nature and species. But the computer showed everything was ok. Mklit had to just check the numbers in any case. He also said that everything was ok. So the computer and a scientist said not to worry and most of us didn’t worry. Unfortunately Mklit told his hysteric and paranoid wife about the meteorite and that was a huge mistake. She panicked and no matter how accurate his calculations or the computer ones were she made a movement and found followers who wanted the meteorite to be destroyed. The movement transformed into a riot in which more and more people rallied and at a certain point we had to do something about the meteorite. We blast the meteorite in order to change its trajectory toward deep space. Unfortunately this wasn’t successful and the meteorite fell on the planet. Half the planet was destroyed and we could not return. 

Because we liked the place very much, we made a base on the next planet, the 4rth from the sun, to examine the restoration. Such a restoration takes a lot but there were a few who wanted to stay and when the time comes to return and to rebuild.

I wanted to continue explore space so the rest of us who did not want to stay continued our travels in search of life.

DAY 1 AT THE NEW PLANET

We set a camp on a small meadow near a river and took probes from everything to analyse it. It seems that everything is identical to our planet, only the shapes are a little different. What an amazing thing is nature. 

We set earth scanners to fly around and note the lifeforms they meet. Hope we find what we came here for.   

Despite the warnings of our medic we decided to sleep under the sky. It was so beautiful to watch the sunset over the green trees and mountains in the far distance. 

DAY 2 OF THE EXPEDITION

Due to yesterday’s screams of joy when we landed one of our companions has been eaten by an unknown specimen. There was a solid blood trace leading to the forest and his implant was showing that our colleague was dead for several hours. We are much quieter now and send request to the ship for some guards. We haven’t had wild animals for a very long time and forgot how to communicate with them. All our animals are half robotic and can speak. We modified their brain a bit, thus they have to respect us and follow our rules. Pretty much  we made them our slaves. And when the time has come they alone go to the chop factory. We also modified them so each animal would be edible and have enough meat on it. Now we understand that playing with nature leads to devastation but it is too late for our planet. So we had to travel from planet to planet to find a place to begin again. 

DAY 3 THE MOSQUITO 

Still no sign of intelligent lifeform. We scanned almost all the area but there were only reptiles. Some of them are really big ones. A little bit of mammals show here and there and really big insects fly over us. In the early morning a mosquito kidnapped our leader Rkhit and now we are searching for him. Unfortunately  our tech lost the signal from his transmitter near a small pond. After two hours of search Glh heard a noise from breaking branches coming toward him. He froze in one place squeezing tightly his weapon waiting for whatever beast was coming. Most unexpectedly Rkhit fell on him. He fought the mosquito while it was carrying him away and won.  All day we listened to his little adventure which was very exciting for us but I think it wasn’t for him. This time when we returned to the camp we assigned three sentinels and made a laser border around in case something wanna sneak in.

A new begining (part 1)

Everything in this story is pure fiction 🙂

Finally we found a new solar system. Unfortunately the acknowledgement fell on a newbie who accidentally defined the wrong coordinates in the computer. After that we verified it several times and every time it showed that there might be a possible life form on the third planet from the sun in the newly found solar system. We named it Rose after the newbie’s girlfriend because it was his foundation and he insisted. The girlfriend found out and they got married after a while. 

The government decided to gather  a scientific crew to explore it. I hope there will be some interesting intelligent form there. So far, in our long time search for other lifeforms, we found about 30 from which 10 were almost as intelligent as us but weren’t ready to meet outerplanet species. We will see where this expedition will get us.

We spent a year to reach the solar system Rose and land on the chosen planet. I am very glad I was picked to take part of the expedition team on the planet. Nature is incredible. There isn’t so much green on our whole planet than around our landing zone. An advice from me – never neglect your nature because you need it. Technological progress is a great thing, but it must always be in harmony with nature. A lot would say it isn’t possible, but that’s only because they profit from their technological gadgets. Remember, money isn’t everything. Yes, you can play god with it because we found how to produce everything except life and solar energy and solved the world problems such as hunger, illnesses , wars and etc. The only thing that couldn’t be cured was the greed to own more and more. Actually society slowly resolved that problem by creating a virtual environment , a simulation of the real world where every one willingly could satisfy their greed.A lot used the simulation to become rulers of the world and live in this vegetation state till their final hours. Yes it’s a lie and some say it’s inhumane but it is by your own will and also solved a lot of problems. The nature order must be followed and not all to be tolerated.

So our new begining start now!

A new begining (part 2)

Stuck

What do you do when you need to write but you do not know what to write about? Simple, you do not write. Especially when it is not your income it is ok to do nothing.

But do you feel satisfied – no!

So I mark myself with the label “stuck” and write for it.

What “stuck” really means for me?

Usually “stuck” may have different meanings – you are stuck at the moment on some part of the story or do not know what to write about.

No, I am stuck because I am afraid to write, a fear that it wont be good enough or stiff, dull, wont get the 1 million readers at once and it will fade away and some other will write about my idea and will do it better.

But how to overcome this fear?

Mmm, the answear is actually really simple – just write. The truth is that if I do not write something it wont be bad because it simply does not exist.

As long as you do what you like no matter how bad or good it is this is a step forward to your own perfection. So just be bold and do what you like if you can afford it ofcourse even if it is just writing in a blog which almost no one reads. May be one day the blog will be a big sensation of will go to the trash. You wil never know if you do not do it.

Never stop! Keep moving forward, keep on living!

P. S: sorry for the chaotic and bad post, but had a logn day and didn`t have the inspiration, just the need to write 😁
